Kentucky's First Lady visits Eagles Nest

On October 29, 2008, Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear visited the trails of Eagles Nest in Mercer County, riding with property owners Michael and Carol Conover and several other area riders, including KyBCH President Edith Conyers, KyBCH Vice-President Dennis Blackburn, and Fort Harrod BCH President Emily Dennis. Mrs. Beshear's visit followed news that the Fort Harrod BCH received a technical assistance grant from the National Park Service Rivers Trails & Conservation Assistance Program to help Mr. and Mrs. Conover develop a strategic plan for the preservation of Eagles Nest Equestrian Trails.
